Founder Membership Offer - Price Drop (I caved quickly)

(Especially if you own a business that ships nationally or that isn't restricted to one urban area. Also good if you are coming home late, in a good mood, flush with cash and generous or drunk. )

If you want to support my writing, I offer two Founder Memberships. The cost is USD 150 (including the mug at the bottom, not the brass mug) or USD 200 if you want the brass mug. It would replace any existing plan you are on, not be in addition to it. It is a one-time charge.

All benefits are described below; there is no tax, and it is a one-time payment.

Those prices are approximately USD 184 / USD 220, depending on the mug.

Looking at the Canadian economy, the dollar is unlikely to go up against the greenback, so my price might decrease slightly for anyone in the US. I can offer a receipt if there is any tax benefit, but I am not a registered charity or business or registered for anything but the Beer of the Month club.

The mug is best suited for beer or cold beverages or simply to put on display. You will burn your hand and stain the brass mug with coffee. Handle not insulated.

I would include 10 “ads” per month on any new or historical essay on my site for one year if you are a business. You could change them every six months at no cost. All businesses must be legal. But pot is legal in Canada, and in BC, they give away hard drugs for free, but you must apparently first be a drug addict who has ruined their life.

For this benefit, I would make up a 30-word (or thereabouts) promotional message with an image/picture (provided by you) and a hotlink or website or contact information. I would not post anything until you were happy with the copy.

Substack does not allow pop-up ads. I would put a hard horizontal line underneath the bottom paragraph of my essay and say something along the lines of “This essay was sponsored by ___. _____ provides / offers __________ and can be reached at.”

I would have you approve the copy; it won’t be as dry as above, or you can write and provide me with what you want.

I can help with the writing. I have an MA in fiction writing and a Schulich MBA. Furthermore, I have worked as a copywriter in Minneapolis and wrote humorous newsletters for internal customers at a bank, and it’s hard to be funny in banking.

I have written five texts on marketing, so I think I should be able to help. Plus, I worked in tech as a marketing manager.

1. Note: I will soon have approximately 1000 subscribers and get 15,000 monthly single views. Unless I piss off the world, I don’t think this will go down. This Substack has grown from zero to this in less than a year, and I had no one from my small social presence sign up initially. If Kim Kardashian, Donald Trump or other celebrities recommend this Substack and the subscriber base jumps, the sponsorship offer will still stand. But I would not hold your breath as I do not hang out with celebrities. My dogs, mother-in-law, and guinea pigs are likewise not well connected.
